All eyes on Trump Putin meet tomorrow, Indian markets remain cautious

Pacific markets traded in a narrow range at Thursday’s open, easing after three
days of gains driven by bets on a Federal Reserve interest rate cut next month.
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index fell 0.2% as stocks in Japan retreated 1% in the
morning trade. Markets are keeping close watch on Trump – Putin meet tomorrow
in Alaska as likely ceasefire will be welcomed globally.
US
and European index futures were little changed during morning hours after a
record closing on Wall Street. S&P 500 futures was down 0.1%. The GIFT
Nifty is down 0.11% or 26.5 points at 24,684 in the morning, indicating a flat
open for the benchmark Nifty 50. Earlier, the NSE Nifty 50 ended 131.9 points
or 0.54% higher at 24,614.3 and the BSE Sensex ended 304.3 points or 0.38% up
at 80,539.9. The NSE Nifty 50 rose as much as 0.72% during the day.

- Jubilant Foodworks - Q1FT26 (YoY) Revenue up 17% to Rs 2,261 crore versus Rs 1,933 crore. Ebitda up 14.3% to Rs 438 crore versus Rs 383 crore. Positive
- Vishal Mega Mart - Q1FY26 (YoY) Revenue up 21% to Rs 3,140 crore versus Rs 2,596 crore. Ebitda up 25.6% to Rs 459 crore versus Rs 366 crore. Positive
- Dredging Corp - Q1FY26 (YoY) Revenue up 60.6% to Rs 242 crore versus Rs 151 crore. Ebitda at Rs 46.9 crore versus Rs 12.3 crore. Positive
Technical Update
- NIFTY - Nifty continued rangebound trading with over 100 points gain to settle above 24,600 at 24,619 on Wednesday. Market is likely to remain in narrow range ahead long weekend. Index has support at 24,500 while resistance at 24,700.
- BANKNIFTY - Bank nifty remained weak and could
not hold early gain to settle slightly lower at 55,181 on Wednesday. Index has
support at 55,000 while 55,450 is near term resistance. Today’s range – 55,000
– 55,450.
